Capturing Your Best Day Ever

Welcome to Candidly Kierra Productions, a wedding videographer enthusiastically serving Western NY, Rochester, Buffalo, and beyond! Your wedding day is a celebration of your commitment to loving each other for a lifetime of marriage: you are worth it! As one of the most passionate wedding videographers Buffalo couples trust, I capture every timeless moment —from the subtle glances to the heartfelt laughter and every unspoken connection in between.

You’ve entrusted me as your wedding videographer to capture and document the most important moments of a day that truly flies by. The heart of your celebration is born out of the emotional whirlwind you experienced throughout the day: from the pre-wedding jitters, to the “oh my gosh, it’s happening” moment when you see yourself in the mirror for the first time, to when you’re caught between laughter and tears at your first look, to the “I do’s” where you’re in your own little universe, to relaxing and dancing the night away with the people who mean the most to you.

A Wedding Video:

A Story That Lives On

I still remember that giddy feeling when my parents whipped out their wedding VHS tape. Although I wasn’t even born yet, I got to witness my late papa walk his little girl down the aisle, when my elegant grandmother tossed her head back in laughter as she danced with my father. Or the “I-can’t-believe-you-just-did-that” look my mom gave my dad when he dared to smudge a bit of cake on her nose. As a family, we still talk about these moments to this day.

Don’t let those memories collect dust in old shoeboxes in the basement. Preserve your memories in a way that honors every emotion, every detail, and every unforgettable moment. Let’s create a timeless, cinematic celebration of your love in the form of a wedding video that you and your loved ones will treasure forever.

LET'S WORK TOGETHER!

Here's the booking process:

TOP 5 MUST ASK QUESTIONS FOR YOUR  WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER BEFORE BOOKING

Your wedding video is the highlight reel of your love story, so don’t let just anyone with a camera call the shots! Do your homework, search and ask around for the right Buffalo or Rochester wedding videographer, ask your videographer candidates the right questions, and find a Western NY videographer who can make your day look as magical on film as it feels in real life. Here are the top 5 questions you need to make sure to ask every videographer you're vetting for your big day! As a bonus, my answers are included.

1

Can you share examples of your recent work?

Of course! I have 4 dedicated pages to provide a versatile body of work: (1) Portfolio Spotlight, which includes an example of each of the videos I produce, and pages for (2) Feature Films, (3) Deluxe Highlight Reels, and (4) Teaser Trailers, all with four or more examples.

If you're looking for a film that showcases my skills as a Buffalo wedding videographer, let me know!! Otherwise, you can also have a more comprehensive view of ALL the videos on my YouTube channel. Whether your wedding is in Chautauqua, Western NY, Buffalo, or Rochester, you can see examples of all regions of the state.

2

What is your wedding videography style?

If we are talking wedding industry terms, I would categorize myself as a documentary wedding videographer on the day of your wedding, and post production I take a storytelling style to your wedding videos. Prior to your wedding, my goal is to be as informed as possible to the events and details throughout the day. I take a fly-on-the-wall approach, blending into the background to capture the most authentic, unprompted moments of your special day. I also try not to manipulate the environment to the extent that it warps the natural moment happening. For that reason, you won't see me utilizing any additional lights or bulky recording devices. My job is to be knowledgeable enough in my equipment to not need those extras.

3

What equipment do you use? Do you have backups?

Great question! I have four Sony cameras total, but my workhorse, the one that is glued to my hands all day long, is the Sony a7siii. As a client, the main things you need to know about this camera is that (1) it has dual SD card slots, meaning if something happens to one SD card on your wedding day, there is always a backup and (2) it's a beast in lowlight environments. My backup camera the Sony a7iii also has dual SD card slots, and can be utilized if there is equipment failure at your wedding. I also have two Sony a6400's, that are stationary cameras utilized during the wedding ceremony and reception, to gain additional shots. These normally have a wide lens and a telescopic lens attached, to give a variety of perspectives of each event.

4

Do you do the post production processing?

This isn't talked about enough. Always always always make sure you ask your potential videographer if they do the post production editing themselves (meaning, do they make your final video product, or does someone else?).

I will yell it from the rooftop: I 100% do ALL of my post production editing myself. Every single one of your videos is hand crafted from the day I filmed it at your wedding to curating your perfect story of your day to look back: I am a one (wo)man show.

I'm telling you this to let you know that some videographers choose to outsource the editing process for various reasons, and tend to leave that detail out. I think it's extremely valuable that I edit my own videos from start to finish, because there will be a massive difference in the type of video you will receive if your editor is coming into a project from the start or midproject (aka: just the editing portion).

5

How do you handle a very behind schedule wedding?

It all depends on what is most important to you! If you're nervous about being behind schedule, I will do everything in my power to move the timeline along in a tasteful manner. But if I see you have zero sweat over the matter, then I will briefly check in to confirm and roll with it.

It's not my wedding day, it's yours. You are THE most important people of the day (not your mom, not your venue coordinator) and you get to choose exactly how you want to experience it. I am here be your biggest advocate and cheerleader throughout your day. You've given me the absolute honor of spending one of the happiest days of your life by your side - I am there to help make your vision and wants and desires come to life.
