Meet KIERRA
Welcome to Candidly Kierra Productions, based in Buffalo, NY! I’m Kierra, and I have spent the last 5 years specializing in transforming wedding days into a cinematic masterpiece. Unlike traditional photography that freezes moments in time, I focus on weaving together the fleeting, magical details that make your day truly unforgettable. From the subtle glances to the heartfelt laughter and every unspoken connection in between, I’m here to document the moments that reflect the heart of your celebration.

What sets me apart? My highlight reels are among the longest and most detailed in the industry, ranging from 18 to 25 minutes in length, offering a comprehensive and immersive retelling of your wedding day. For those who want even more, I also create 1-2 hour feature films—perfect for reliving the full magic of your day from start to finish.

At Candidly Kierra Productions, your story isn’t just documented—it’s brought to life in a way that honors every emotion, every detail, and every unforgettable moment. Let’s create a timeless, cinematic celebration of your love that you’ll treasure forever.

TOP 5 QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR VIDEOGRAPHER BEFORE BOOKING
Your wedding video is the highlight reel of your love story, so don’t let just anyone with a camera call the shots! Do your homework, ask the right questions, and find a videographer who can make your day look as magical on film as it feels in real life. Here are the top 5 questions you need to make sure to ask every videographer you're vetting for your big day! As a bonus, my answers are included.
1
Can you share examples of your recent work?
Of course! I have 4 dedicated pages to provide a versatile body of work: (1) Portfolio Spotlight, which includes an example of each of the videos I produce, and pages for Feature Films, (3) Deluxe Highlight Reels, and (4) Teaser Trailers, all with four or more examples.
If you're looking for one that better fits an example of your wedding, let me know and I'd be happy to provide one! Otherwise, you can also have a more comprehensive view of ALL the videos on my YouTube channel.
2
What is your approach to storytelling?
If we are talking wedding industry terms, the word "documentary" seems to be gaining an upward trend in recent years. Prior to your wedding, my goal is to be as informed as possible to the events and details throughout the day. I take a fly-on-the-wall approach, blending into the background to capture the most authentic, unprompted moments of your special day. I also try not to manipulate the environment to the extent that it warps the natural moment happening. For that reason, you won't see me utilizing any additional lights or bulky recording devices. My job is to be knowledgeable enough in my equipment to not need those extras.
3
What equipment do you use? Do you have backups?
Great question! I have 4 Sony cameras total, but my workhorse, the one that is glued to my hands all day long, is the Sony a7siii. As a client, the main things you need to know about this camera is that (1) it has dual SD card slots, meaning if something happens to one SD card, there is always a backup and (2) it's a beast in lowlight settings. My backup camera the Sony a7iii also has dual SD card slots, and can be utilized if there is equipment failure. I also have two Sony a6400's, that are stationary cameras utilized during the ceremony and reception, to gain additional shots. These normally have a wide lens and a telescopic lens attached, to give a variety of perspectives of each event.

How do you handle your workflow, from planning to final delivery?
Each step of the process requires detailed attention for each client. It could be very easy to have chaos ensue very quickly. I utilize a workflow program and automation to organize information and the step in which each project is in. From initial inquiry, to contract being sent, retainers received, the month leading up to the big day, the final Zoom call the week of your wedding, post-wedding reach out, Instagram queue regularly updated, to delivery of the final video, I am in constant communication with you. You will always know where I am in the post production process. Know that I am just as excited to share your videos with you as you are to watch them for the first time!

How do you handle a very behind schedule wedding?
It all depends on what is most important to you! If you're nervous about being behind schedule, I will do everything in my power to move the timeline along in a tasteful manner. But if I see you have zero sweat over the matter, then I will briefly check in to confirm and roll with it.
It's not my wedding day, it's yours. You are THE most important people of the day (not your mom, not your venue coordinator) and you get to choose exactly how you want to experience it. I am there be your biggest advocate and cheerleader throughout your day. I have the absolute honor of spending one of the happiest days of your life by your side, and I am there to help make your vision and wants and desires come to life.
